About the role and our teamWe are looking for a supportive and compassionate Macmillan Cancer Support Worker to join the Cancer Services Team at Noble's Hospital.In this role you will support the co-ordination of care for cancer patients through their cancer pathway, supporting patients in navigating their treatment and also using the complex health and social care system before and during treatment. This will ultimately result in an improved patient experience for those directly affected by cancer.You will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, and you'll be responsible for supporting patients in the following duties:
  • Co-ordinating and delivering the Macmillan Electronic Health Needs Assessment (eHNA) and Patient Care Planning Service
  • Covering the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre in times of volunteer absence, being the first point of contact for visitors and patients
  • Supporting the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Manager in wider duties as required
