In this rewarding role, you'll be providing lunchtime support to a mainstream student who is blind; ensuring their safety, promoting independence, and helping them confidently navigate their lunchtime routines and school environment. With guidance from the Vision Support Service team, you'll play a key part in fostering positive social interactions, encouraging developing life skills, and building trusting relationships.This is a role for someone who brings warmth, calmness and common sense, and who values teamwork and communication. You'll work closely with Vision Support Service colleagues and wider school staff, follow specialist guiding techniques (training provided), and maintain high standards of care, confidentiality and safeguarding at all times.
