The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well maintained environment for guests and staff. This role supports hotel operations by promptly addressing maintenance issues and maintaining property standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas. Repair and maintain hotel equipment, fixtures and painting. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs. Maintain hotel grounds, including minor exterior upkeep. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Keep accurate records of maintenance work. Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary. Qualifications & Skills: Previous maintenance experience or trade experience. A basic knowledge of plumbing or electrical work would be an advantage. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects and perform physical tasks. Flexibility to work shifts up to 25 hours per week and on-call shifts as and when required.
