Manx Independent Carriers are looking for a trainee planner to join their transport department. Full training will be given to the successful candidate and they will support the team with the below duties • Plan and coordinate daily transport operations to ensure timely and cost effective deliveries • Provide accurate transport quotes to customers based on route, load type, and service level • Allocate vehicles and drivers based on delivery schedules, load requirements, and legal constraints. • Liaise with customers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth communication and service delivery. • Use transport management systems optimise routing and scheduling. • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. • Strong communication skills for dealing with drivers, clients, and internal teams. • Office-based role, typically Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work As an employee of Manx Independent Carriers, you will be eligible to join our pension scheme after successfully completing your probation period.
