Financial Accountant

• Monthly management accounts and financial reports production for Core
• Monthly intercompany reconciliation and preparation of consolidation journals
• Preparing journals for interests, accruals and prepayments, with supporting documentation for month end reporting
• VAT monthly returns
• Interface with finance teams in Hong Kong, China and Italy for accurate consolidation
• Ensure all adjustments and provisions affecting working capital items are accurately maintained
• Controlling general ledger journal entries, maintaining finance data integrity
• Purchase ledger management - review for anomalies and credit balances
• Auditor interface
• Input into annual statutory accounts preparation
• Project support and analysis as required, ad hoc reports

• A Degree in accountancy or a similar business-related subject
• ACA or ACCA qualified, with 3 years PQE preferably with industry experience
• Highly numerate with strong commercial acumen also a distinct advantage
• Highly literate in Excel and a good level of competency across the full Microsoft Office Suite package
• Good knowledge of MRP systems, experience using SAP
• Coaching experience with excellent communication and influencing skills
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills aligned to the needs of the role
• Able to communicate confidently and coherently to key stakeholders, many of whom will not be members of the Finance team, therefore, will need to be able to put key concepts into "layman's terms"
• Adept at problem solving, coupled with the ability to hit the ground running and get quickly to the heart of matters and solve issues pragmatically
